DLF Corporate Park

The sleek and pristine DLF Corporate Park is an extensive development that spreads over 3.65 acres of land and is set adjacent Gurgaon’s green belt. It was one of the first office parks in Gurgaon, and at that point, the promoters were not clear about the market demand. As a result, the entire complex was developed as small blocks, each independent of the other, enabling the developers to sell the spaces in various sizes and combinations as required by the end user. The development works in such a way that each occupant may treat their space as an individual entity while the overall architecture of the complex maintains uniformity through its design and vocabulary. The complex includes 7 building blocks that are square in plan and vary between 3 to 8 floors of office spaces and accommodate an area of 650 sq m to 2,800 sq m. Each building block is designed to accommodate diverse office space requirements of the multinational corporations that are located in the complex, which includes the likes of PepsiCo, GE Caps, Inter Globe, Fluor Daniel, Compaq and Seagram. The materials are a visual representation of the modern architecture and adhere to the international lexis of reflective glass curtain walls, plated steel and aluminium panels fixed in the edges at right angles. The severity of the built form of the complex is softened by the landscaped elements of the surrounds. The gardens with paved walkways, the sculptural water bodies and grassy mounds complement the straight lines and right angles of the buildings. These serene surrounds also endeavour to enhance the productivity of the workplace. The building adds to the skyline not so much for its form but as a spectacle that mirrors the neighbouring environs creating a larger-than-life annotation of the qualities of the sky and the natural landscape.
