Gaurav Shah joined Architect Hafeez Contractor (AHC) in 2006 and has developed extensive experience across hospitality, residential, and institutional architecture. Over the years, he has contributed to the design and execution of several large-scale hotel and mixed-use developments, with particular expertise in luxury hospitality environments and complex project coordination.
His portfolio includes landmark hospitality projects such as ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata—a luxury 490-key hotel spanning over 14 lakh sq ft (designed by WATG, Singapore; executed by AHC),—along with ITC Maratha RG Pavilion, Mumbai, The LaLiT, Ahmedabad, Cavern Hotel & Resorts, Dubai, and Taj Mount Road, Chennai. He has also worked on high-end residential developments including Ten BKC, Mumbai. His work spans multiple stages of project delivery, including concept development, design detailing, coordination, working drawings, and execution.
Gaurav’s approach to architecture is driven by a strong interest in the layered complexity of hospitality and institutional projects, where operational planning, user experience, and architectural identity must work cohesively. His focus remains on creating spaces that are functionally efficient, technically resolved, and enduring in their public and cultural relevance.
