DLF Beverly Park l & II

DLF Beverly Park is a residential complex with a distinct Mediterranean flavour. Its red pitched roofs, projecting balconies, ornate balustrades, arched doorways, landscaped courtyards with fountains and patterned mosaic tiles are reminiscent of the traditional Spanish architecture. This project has an unusual background to it. The in-house DLF team initially designed the development. Later, DLF invited architect Hafeez Contractor to add value and enhance the design. The architect retrofitted certain elements and subtracted some to arrive at its present form. The Spanish aesthetic was adopted on insistence from the client after a great deal of deliberation. It was favoured over the prevalent classical architecture because of its novelty value and a belief that the new consumer aspired for the artistry associated with the style. The development is touted as the first multi-storeyed towers in India to resonate the Mediterranean architectural features. It later turned into a fad and emerged as a preferred aesthetic in a number of residential real estate developments across the country. Beverly Park includes two luxury residential complexes with amenities like clubhouses, swimming pools and extensive parking. These complexes consist of 3 and 4-bedroom luxury apartments which offer delightful views of the lush gardens. Geometry of parallels and diagonals marks the site layout. Rectangular building blocks with varying heights run along the length of the site. These blocks have 2 flats per floor, which include terraces, ample foyer space, lifts and servants accommodation. Diagonal building blocks ranging from 7 to 10 storeys connect the rows of rectangular buildings at the corners. These buildings follow a similar floor plan to the rectangular ones, except that these flats have an occasional square or semi-circular balcony. Both the complexes feature 3-bedroom apartments, 4-bedroom apartments and penthouses on the higher floors.
